David Lawrence Lecture

ECU’s School of Education is excited to welcome mental health expert Associate Professor David Lawrence to ECU South West to deliver a free lecture about young people and mental health
Associate Professor Lawrence led the recently-completed Young Minds Matter survey, which surveyed over 6,000 families with children aged 4-17 years around Australia.
Made possible through partnership with South Bunbury Rotary Club and Rotary Health, this lecture will examine how mental disorders impact children’s development and learning, and what types of help children need, and receive
This is a rare opportunity for educators, community workers and parents to hear the latest research findings in children’s mental health. Participants will enjoy a morning tea and networking before the lecture commences at 11.30am.
About David Lawrence
David Lawrence is Principal Research Fellow in the Graduate School of Education, University of Western Australia. His principal area of research is child and adolescent mental health and wellbeing. He was project leader for the recently completed Young Minds Matter: The second Australian Child and Adolescent Survey of Mental Health and Wellbeing.
