The Youth Mental Health Forum on the 23rd June in Bunbury was a big success, attracting approximately 45-50 participants mostly between the ages of 12 to 25 years and involved young artists. 8 in total: tie dying, acrylic artist, rock painting, crocheting, tattoo designer, dramatist, musician and artists co-operative from Capel.
Participants had the opportunity to experience the different types of art and the artists were interviewed individually and as a panel to share how engaging in an artistic pursuit reduces and eliminates stress, anxiety and depression in their lives. It was an inspirational event over three hours and conducted in liaison with Headspace and Enable WA and funded by the Rotary National Mental Health Forum.
